The dogs got me up at 5 AM, so I actually got on the road at the time I was aiming for (7 AM). This is a long drive I've done a dozen times or more, from Benson to my friend Pat's house in Southern Calif. I put a 6-casette audio book (a murder mystery) on the casette player and before I knew it, it was 5 PM and I was arriving at Pat's house. Audio books are a tremendous boon to travellers!! So, Jan; your whelping bed has now arrived in your environs and you have merely to go down to Pat's and pick it up at your leisure.
